These organic Canterbury oats have simply been steel cut once lengthwise to give slower digestion. They make an absolutely delicious creamy dense porridge that is quite different from rolled oat porridge in its texture and is very satisfying. They can be either soaked overnight and cooked in your usual way for a porridge, or cooked in a slow cooker.
We recommend soaking overnight or for at least an hour before cooking. It is best to store them in a cool place away from sunlight.
These oats have not been heat treated so occasionally an insect may be found in them. Its organic too!
